The Dewar has two main advantages: The first is that it can hold large quantities of gas at relatively low pressures compared to compressed gas cylinders. The second is that it provides an easily manipulated source of cryogenic liquid.

Due to the robustness and reliability of the Dewar tank, its long holding time, and its own gas supply system, the built-in vaporizer can continuously output normal temperature gas (oxygen, nitrogen, argon) with a flow rate of up to 9.2m3/h, and the highest constant gas output pressure is 1.2 MPa (medium pressure type) / 2.2 MPa (high pressure type), fully meet the gas requirements under normal circumstances. If the user’s air flow rate is large, multiple Dewar tanks can be connected in parallel or an external vaporizer can be installed to meet the air supply requirements. By adding an external vaporizer, the maximum output flow of a single Dewar can reach 30m3/h.

Dewars provide a variety of uses:

1. Direct gas supply at the work site, and its use form is similar to that of compressed gas cylinders;

2. Small and simple pipeline centralized gas supply;

3. Low temperature liquid use, etc.

Advantages of Dewars:

1. The storage pressure is low, multi-level safety protection device is set, the safety is better, and the operation is simple and reliable.

2. Large storage capacity, the gas storage capacity of a hexagonal gas cylinder is equivalent to nearly 30 cylinders of gas (oxygen, nitrogen, argon). Therefore, the storage space can be reduced, the bottle changing operation can be reduced, and the work efficiency can be improved. For pipeline centralized gas supply, the investment in busbars can be reduced.

3. The bottle body is clean and the supply gas is of higher purity. Because the liquid gas is directly vaporized and supplied, it avoids the hidden quality risks caused by secondary pollution due to many links in the process of filling, transporting and using the cylinder gas. Usually output oxygen purity ≥99.2%, nitrogen purity ≥99.999%, argon purity ≥99.995%, carbon dioxide purity ≥99.9%.

4. High gas utilization rate: the cylinder gas must have excess pressure after each use, and the liquid gas supply of the hexagonal gas cylinder can avoid any waste and reduce the cost of gas consumption.

5. The weight of the hexagonal gas cylinder is about 116Kg, and the total weight after filling with liquid gas is about 300Kg, while the total weight of the compressed gas of 30 cylinders of the same gas volume is nearly 2000Kg. Therefore, the auxiliary cost of transportation and manual loading and unloading can be greatly reduced.

External structure of Dewar tank: Dewar tank generally has four valves, namely liquid use valve, gas use valve, vent valve, and booster valve. In addition, there are gas pressure gauges and liquid level gauges. Remember not to open the booster valve when the Dewar tank is not in use. Be sure to check whether the booster valve is closed, otherwise it will cause gas leakage in the tank. The Dewar tank adopts high vacuum multi-layer insulation, with a volume of 170-200L, which is convenient for the transportation and use of a small amount of low-temperature liquid. It is a new choice to replace the traditional high-pressure bottled gas transportation and use.
